SKY77175

Dual-Band Power Amplifier Module for WCDMA / HSDPA Band II (1850-1910 MHz), Band V (824-849 MHz)

SKY77175 PAM is a fully matched, 14-pad, SMT module developed for full WCDMA Band II and Band V applications. The PAM meets the stringent spectral linearity requirements of WCDMA transmission, high power added efficiency for power output to 29 dBm (Band II) and 29 dBm (Band V), and a low current analog pad (VCONT) to improve efficiency for the low RF power range operation. GaAs MMIC contains all active RF circuitry including input and interstage matching circuits; output match into a 50-ohm load is realized off-chip within the module package. Skyworks' GaAs (HBT) process provides for all positive voltage DC supply operation and maintains high efficiency and good linearity. Primary bias is supplied directly from suitable batteries with 3.1 V to 4.6 V outputs. No external supply side switch is needed. Setting a logic low level on the VEN pad accomplishes power down.
