Hello. My name is Ashish Gokhale. I'm a product manager at Skyworks in the power business unit. I'm here today to introduce to you our new product shortly. In the world of electronic system design, especially for industrial and automotive applications, it is becoming a bigger and bigger challenge to deliver higher performance in increasingly smaller spaces and to not compromise on reliability.
We're gonna talk about generating isolated power. This becomes more challenging, especially if the PCB area available is small and there is no power source that is readily available. Today, I wanted to introduce you to the
Si86Px family family. This is a product that combines signal isolation with a DC to DC converter and a miniature transformer to give you a complete subsystem of power and signal isolation in one compact package. By integrating signal and power isolation in one package, the Si86Px enables systems designers to reduce BOM count, reduce design complexity, and therefore accelerate time to market. The eighty six p x delivers half a watt of isolated power and therefore eliminates the need for bulky transformers or power modules. If there was one aspect of the eighty six p x to highlight, it would definitely be the load regulation specification.
At point one percent, this is ten times better than anything that's available in the market today. This enables system designers to use their sensitive ADCs or sensors that may be on the isolated side to their full capability.
Also, at a data rate capability of hundred and fifty megabits per second. This ensures that all the communication happens in a very fast and precise manner so that all the control loops are tight and well regulated. The Si86Px is especially designed for harsh electrically noisy environments like industrial or automotive applications. It has a specification of hundred kilovolts per microsecond for common mode transient immunity, which ensures that your data has extremely high signal integrity.
Speaking of harsh environments in industrial and automotive applications, it is required that components that are used in these applications have a wide operating range and robust isolation. The Si86Px is rated from minus forty to hundred and twenty five degrees c and has an isolation rating of three point seven five kV rms, which makes it a good fit for these type of applications. The Si86Px is available in a compact 16-pin wide body SOIC package for its 2-channel version or a 24-pin package for its 4-channel version.
This makes it a very easy drop in product in the manufacturing process.
At a time when industrial and automotive designs demand more in less space, the Si86Px delivers an easy to use compact solution that solves systems designers' problems.
