Si82Ex Gate Driver Development Kit

The Si82E Gate Driver Boards (GBD) are an evaluation platform for developing and testing high-performance SiC power systems. The boards feature the Si82E39AEE-IS3 isolated dual-channel gate driver and the SI88421BC-IS digital isolator with integrated DC-DC controller, supporting both high-side and low-side gate driving in half-bridge topologies. The board has been tested with the Wolfspeed CAB011M12FM3 SiC power module.

The Si82Ex gate driver delivers up to 7.5 A peak output current, enabling fast, efficient switching of SiC devices. The flyback-based power architecture generates isolated +15 V and −3.5 V gate-drive supplies for each channel, helping improve switching robustness and immunity to unintended turn-on events.
